Luke Ijams is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who recently moved to DC, after performing across Texas, Indiana, and the mountains of New Hampshire. In DC, he teamed up with Roberto Giberti on bass and John McGarrity on drums.

Luke’s lyrics tell stories you might have lived, almost lived, or maybe wish you hadn’t. And just when the words seem to have said everything they can, the guitar steps in, stretching into long, expressive solos that carry the story where language falls short, adding tension, struggle, and emotion before bringing it home.

Blues, funk, roots, with a hint of reggae sway, whatever the song calls for that night, that’s the direction it goes.

The Electric Spurs are radiating neon on a hot Rust Belt night, kicking up dust in a misremembered West. The trio’s grungy dark Americana and countrified rock burn with tales of Texas towns and the rough characters who blow through them, of the gunfire that cracks the desert nights in search of better days, of broken men asking for one more chance one last time.

Tránsito is a cover band that exists at the intersection of anthemic rock spectacle and songs that help us understand the world we live in. They're veterans of the DC music community who find equal joy in the funk of the Talking Heads, the intricacy of Pink Floyd, and the raw emotion of Alice In Chains. Tránsito hopes that, whether you prefer to two-step or headbang, you’ll feel a little lighter and a little fiercer at the end of their set.
