Veronique
For Fans of: Ari Lennox, Amy Winehouse, Laufey, Joy Crookes
Veronique is a DC-based vocalist, songwriter, and cultural worker commanding a near four-octave range and a sentimental nature. Her debut single “Illiterate” is a self-effacing, confessional track that weaves her jazzy vocals with a pop synth sound and danceable rnb groove. She daylights as a gender justice lawyer, hoping for a world where more people can live with the dignity and delight they’re entitled to.
KENDALL!
FFO: Lianne La Havas, WILLOW, Corinne Bailey Rae
KENDALL! (they/them) is a daydreaming DC-based musician, scholar, producer, and cultural worker from Prince George’s County, Maryland. KENDALL's practice is grounded in their desire to bear witness to the queer melodies and rhythms of their life and to translate them faithfully, lovingly. Legacies of Black American music, art, folklore, and spirituality shape everything they create. Their greatest hope is to weave sonic worlds that can contribute to deeper projects of community, healing, and liberation.
Miraje
FFO: Mistki, Adrienne Lenker, Searows
Miraje is a singer/songwriter duo from Washington, DC weaving together dreamy guitar and vocals through rich, expressive melodies, unique instrumentals and poetic lyricism.
